The Pike Partnership practice philosophy entails creative but practical solutions to design problems supported by a framework of contemporary detailing. Where possible, and client allowing, there is a willingness for experimentation. We believe a building must work as well as looking good. The practice aims to provide a perfect marriage between design flair, technical competence and building experience.

THE PARTNERS

Christopher Pike (PPBIAT, MCIAT, MCIOB, MCIArb) is a past President and Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). Christopher is the recipient of awards from CIAT and from the Country Landowners Association for Building Design, with many years experience in all aspects of the construction industry at local and national levels.

Paul Robinson (BA Arch) trained as an architect at Sheffield University, returning to private practice via Journalism and Technical Authorship. Paul specialises in achieving planning success on difficult sites, particularly where design solutions can overcome previous objections. He has an interest in Modern architecture but tempered by a pragmatic outlook when the situation dictates.

Richard Houlston (ICIOB) qualified as an Architectural Technologist too many years ago. Richard’s career has been technical / CAD orientated working for Local Authorities, private practices and freelancing. He is interested in energy efficiency and claims to be the boring one!
